The Work of Byron Katie as Meditation - Love is the Power

The Work of Byron Katie as Meditation - Love is the Power

March 31 - April 7, 2020

Join us in an immersion into The Work. Using exercises, sacred poetry, music, movement and group dynamics woven together to support us in honoring, seeing clearly and stepping out of old paradigms that no longer serve us in loving Life as it unfolds.

Above all else The Work, as meditation, allows us to realize the kindness of the intelligence that directs everything and that all the answers we ever need are always available inside us if we are still, quiet and open to them. Through The Work we wake up to our own kind and loving nature.

Through The Work as meditation we can begin to bring everything within ourselves, heaven and hell, dark and light, into the "light" of conscious awareness and finally begin to meet it all with love and understanding.

"Love springs from awareness, seeing ourselves and others as we are, The most painful act, is the act of seeing.  But it is in that act of seeing that love is born." - Anthony DeMello

From Tom: "Years ago I had a deep wish (more like a desperate cry for help) to find and be a part of something that could make a real difference in understanding and ending peoples’ suffering, my suffering to be honest. This work is, for me, that wish come true.

The Work is continually opening me to more life enhancing and inclusive ways of dealing with “what is”. It helps me take responsibility, to see clearly my part in what unfolds day to day - freeing me of the role of victim. It enables me to acknowledge, “I did that, that happened, these are the results” and frees me to begin now.

The Work has been a tremendous gift in helping me to identify past hurts and the thoughts that are the real cause of these hurts; which in my experience until they are met with understanding, continue to run and complicate my life. It has become automatic now to notice when there is not space within myself for what is and to begin to search for the story I am telling that would move me to oppose what is (hopeless) rather than working with what is. Over and over again The Work is showing me that the worst that can happen in life will bring me my freedom through the next thing to work on." For more about Tom visit:

Ursula Carlin and Brid Ni Chionaola will facilitate evening sessions.

Additional Information

"I have done a lot of The Work and been with Byron Katie several times, which had already helped me immensely with life. But Tom is a Master of running a large group; he was amazing working with so many and holding their attention when they did not know anything about the Work before coming. I cannot praise him enough. Several things came up for me that I did not expect and were resolved. Thank you for putting together such an amazing retreat to raise consciousness on the planet." – E.L.

"I have had the most profound experiences of my life working wth Tom, watching my old patterns and beliefs that lead me directly to suffering crumble all around me- leaving me with the awareness of freedom. I have never so clearly seen the way out of the suffering mind than in my time with Tom. I have always entered our sessions with such confusion, sadness and suffering and left with clarity, expansiveness and the key to freedom. I can recommend Tom to anyone who wants to know their self as freedom and experience themselves as love." - T.S.
