THE INQUIRY OF BYRON KATIE with ZEN MEDITATION - in SEATTLE

THE INQUIRY OF BYRON KATIE with ZEN MEDITATION - in SEATTLE

Schedule
October 25-27, 2019

The gentle & practical “Work” of Byron Katie combined with the quiet calm of Zen meditation can reveal your peaceful presence.

Inquiry is looking through the mental noise of your beliefs, questioning this stress, and asking “What is my mind telling me? What is actually true? And then being open for new perceptions, understanding and behavior.

Meditation is learning that a quiet loving presence, a contentment, is available now. Zen invites all of us to just BE, to practice BEING with ourselves as we are. This is presence.

“The judgments you believe just created your world.
A thought is harm-less unless we believe it. I didn’t fight or shame my thoughts, I questioned them, and they stopped shaming me. Self-realization is the sweetest thing...that we’re fully responsible for ourselves. This is freedom.” ― Byron Katie

Stress comes from our thoughts ABOUT ourselves, ABOUT others, and ABOUT life all around us. Stressful thoughts tell you that life shouldn’t be the way it actually really is. That you shouldn’t be the way you are. The Work is questioning your story with love.

“All that is necessary to awaken to yourself as the radiant emptiness of spirit is to stop seeking something more or better or different, and to turn your attention inward to the awake silence that you are.” ― Adyashanti

Zen says, there is a place within your presence… which is already and always at rest, silent, and still. We will locate and welcome the quiet mind… by QUESTIONING our stories and BEING with ourselves the way we are. People say it can’t be this simple. It already is.
