Joy! Discovering “A Thousand Names for Joy”

Joy! Discovering “A Thousand Names for Joy”

Wednesdays: September 7 - October 5, 2022
11am - 12:30pm PT

“Joy!” is a 5 week online eCourse, an experiential journey of the Tao Te Ching accompanied by Byron Katie’s (Katie) insights and understanding using self inquiry as meditation, also referred to as The Work. This is a process in which we question the thoughts that argue with reality, the source of our suffering in this world and which may ultimately be the sign posts to our freedom.

The book "A Thousand Names for Joy", the inspiration for this course, is a portrait of an awakened mind in action. It is Katie’s response to the Tao Te Ching, the great Chinese classic that has been called the wisest book ever written.

“(But) it is one thing to read about being in harmony with the way things are, or even to understand what that means, and quite another to actually live it. Even the wisest of books can’t give us wisdom.”

"A Thousand Names for Joy" p.12-13

Each week we will immerse ourselves in a chapter from "A Thousand Names for Joy". Each class is developed with unique exercises and practices that will invite you into the experience of “Joy!”.

“Though reality itself is unnamable, Katie says, there are a thousand names for joy, because nothing is separate, and joy, deep down, is where we all are.” "A Thousand Names for Joy" p.13

Come join us as we tap into Joy as our birthright.

What previous participants have shared:

"Everything worked in this course. The organization and execution is flawless. Unlike any class I have taken, you guys pack so much more in the short time we have together. And it never feels rushed. It's been so wonderful, and has given me some really useful insight & tools. I leave feeling very calm, grounded and connected.”

"With thanks to Marty and Evie - excellent facilitators and a fantastic team together - I experienced how light-hearted and easy my life is without wanting anything, without seeking approval or appreciation and without expectations of others. And how painful it is to be in a state of mind of wanting more instead of noticing love and gratitude that is always present". JK
