Eating Peace Retreat: Question Your Thinking With Food, Eating and Body…And End The War.

Eating Peace Retreat: Question Your Thinking With Food, Eating and Body…And End The War.

September 27-October 3, 2021

There was a time when if you had told me I would one day teach a course in Eating Peace, I would have hardly believed that could be true.

I was a compulsive overeater, then bulimic, then anorexic, overweight, underweight and very obsessive about the scale, fitness, eating, starving, and body image.

Now…my life is full of the joy of eating freely, without complaint or fear, and having my body be the same weight for many years without concern.

You can have this kind of freedom too, no matter what you’ve experienced or how long you’ve been struggling when it comes to food and eating. It is our natural way.

Come inquire internally into your painful beliefs about food and eating and discover the changes that are possible externally.

We’ll look at how our experience of eating reveals to us what we’re really believing in the moment….about life, love, other people, “enoughness” or “too-much-ness” and ourselves.

When you inquire into these painful thoughts, your eating changes. Your life can change in micro ways you would never expect. As your mind lightens up, so does your eating, and so does your body. You allow things to be as they are, to leave them alone instead of incessantly focusing on self-improvement, or fixing what’s wrong with you.

We’ll begin on Monday morning with entering the difficulty of this relationship with eating. I’ll share what it was once like for me and how I discovered eating peace. We’ll spend our days together, including one guided meal eating together (you’ll choose your own food). We’ll make contact with ourselves, our speedy quick thinking, and the beliefs running within that create havoc with eating peace. Saturday morning we will be doing a powerful inquiry exercise around movement even though online.

Exercises during our time together will help us look closely and investigate the following:
• Hunger and Fullness—What does it mean when I feel these? How do I feel about Too Much, or Not Enough?
• Thin And Fat—What Am I Assuming to Be True?
• What Does This Craving Do For Me, Really? And The Secret to Dissolving Cravings
• Judging Your Body deeply, the body parts you hate the most, and seeing the body with clear eyes
• What Does Eating Promise?
• How is My Relationship With Food Like My Relationship With Life?

You will be guided through your eating this week in a way you may have never experienced. You will gather your own food and meals, but all eating will be done together….every bite. I will be there with you all the way. Come see what scares you about this, or comforts you. You may find the gold inside your difficult experiences of eating…and take away a peace you never thought possible.

“I'm so thankful for you to have reached out to help those of us who were looking for relief from this life-long battle! I honestly thought it was going to be a never-ending struggle (but that's because I was believing my thoughts)! In the past when I've been on diet after diet I always hated it and felt so uneasy about how long I had to be on the diet and "deprive" myself of all the things I wanted to eat. I was always, ALWAYS hungry every time I dieted, which caused me to be irritable and feeling defeated every time. Now, because my mind is different, I don't feel hungry! I’ve lost 20 pounds in the last 3 weeks. I know you've struggled just like we have and I'm so thankful that you're sharing these questions to lead us to really locate these concepts that are buried inside of us, and for facilitating us through inquiring into them. Life changing!” ~ Los Angeles

“Grace, I wanted to share with you a big gift from the Eating Peace retreat. The exercise you had us do - to see if we could find anything positive in the struggles we had with food...I filled 3 or 4 pages!  It literally brought me to tears to find that the struggle had brought me home to myself and to a greater connection with Source. I am experiencing greater moments of joy than I had ever dreamed possible and am finding capabilities and gifts I never knew I had.” ~ Florida
